I had someone explain it to me one time as the rigid structure of her route matching her as a character and the way she interacts with Hisao. A rigid route for a rigid character, which I get, but getting it doesn't make it entertaining.

I did Shizune's route last and I honestly feel like I could've skipped it and lost very little in the process.
