This. This is why Falcom went with NISA instead of XSEED like they have for all their other PC releases (except Gurumin). NISA promised a PC port and a bunch of shit with simultaneous release dates XSEED simply couldn't have done within that same timerame due to their size.

I had a glimmer of hope when they did that last-minute announcement that the game would be coming to GOG, I was like "this is exactly unlike NISA, maybe they got their shit together this time". Guess not.

I hope this shows Falcom what everyone familiar with NISA already know: they're shit and shouldn't be trusted.

And I'm sure XSEED is laughing its ass off about this, though.

The level cap is 99, I think the low level cap only really applies to Ys 1 although it's been a while since I've played most of the other Ys games. From my playthrough I don't remember my party being super helpful although they do help finish off mobs and take things down a little faster than if you set them to not attack.
