The story is pretty bad. Better than the last one which DIDN'T HAVE ONE, but still, pretty bad. The writing is certainly making me cringe more than chuckle.
And the Shader system is literal cancer.
But beyond that everything seems swell so far. The Nightfall was a good challenge and I haven't even run the 300 on yet. There's so much to do out in the wilds and I'm constantly progressing onwards.
My only real gameplay grip is that the PvP might as well not even feature powers with how fuckin' hard they're leaning on primary weapons. There was once a time where a skilled enough Guardian could wipe out entire teams. Now if you get a in a 1v2 you're done. You're just done.

What do you mean by this? Is it F2P with keys to buy lootboxes? The game and interface already had kb/m support and FOV slider, I doubt there will be anything different. I read up somewhere that AMD "people" were displeased with the performance of their cards and the beta crashed on me several times, but that's not somethings that warrants a 2 months delay, when other devs push out hotfixes in matter of hours.

This is my only issue. I bought D2 and I'm enjoying it, but the inevitable "DLC" that makes my hard work pointless every time they need to make more cash for their quarterly really puts a bad taste in my mouth.

It's a solid, fun game. But I just wish there was a decent way around the loot/grind DLC treadmill.
