Let's take medieval armour then, sure they must weigh about 20kg or something, which isn't as impending as it seems, but still try rolling with that while maintaining your ability to attack and defend yourself efficiently... just no, you might be able to jump or run, but here I'm specifically talking about rolls being used as a win button, which it is 90% of the time in "souls-like" games, as much as I hate this term.
