This is UNIEL we're talking about. Gordeau shits out damage extremely easily and his command grab range was pretty substantial. They dialed it back in UNIST so his damage would be more fair and his command grab ranges nerfed. He'll still fuck you up from across the screen if he has vorpal though.

Remember that A+B and a direction is a run or a backdash. I find using that way easier than tapping twice to run., it's pretty imperative to quickly close the gap between people with ranged harassment and long reach.

And I just skipped my turn, boo.

I dont know what it is with this game. I can deal with pressure and punish just dandy in Tekken, SC, VF and DOA. I can even do Deathmatch sets in those games.

Here it's the opposite, I cant deal with the stuff here and I get gassed real easily.

3d fighters can't really compare to anime pressure. offense is much stronger in these types of games and necessitates learning more defensive options. This game teaches you like 4 different defensive option selects in the tutorial for starters.

Playing defensive in this game is probably THE hardest and punishing lesson in learning the game. Grd Breaks completely fuck up some characters' mobility and there's no burst to speak of. You just gotta get used to it and maybe even Alpha Counter if you really feel the heat. None of us are all that good at blocking, at this point, I'd just classify it as being used to our usual blockstrings we throw at each other.
