Because swearing off of RNG is an arbitrary and stupid thing to do.

RNG can be an extremely effective mechanic when used by a skilled dev, and it's shit when used by a shit dev. Kinda like every other game mechanic in existence.

Darkest Dungeon is a shining example of a game that is heavily random and utilizes it well.

I really, really don't understand the appeal of k-pop, but anything to keep the Nips at bay I guess

My one complaint about this game was the arena-map design. I thought it kept the core feeling of Brutal Doom but (unfortunately) a bit slower. Definitely a decent modernization though.
