Just found out about this game and started playing it. It's fucking awesome.
> launch nukes on whoever you want, whenever you want
> order CIA to assassinate world leaders, orchestrate a coup d'etat
> advisory council that actually gives you good information
> a variety of diplomatic, military, economic, and clandestine actions are available
Are there newer geopolitical simulation games like this? The only similar games I've heard of are also old, like CyberJudas. Not that I mind shitty graphics. Would be especially interesting if you could carry out domestic psy-ops to increase the public's support for war, boost approval ratings, etc.
Grand Strategey games like Victoria 2/Hearts of Iron II are the closest, but they're not modern day like Shadow President.

I've seen this game posted around before. What exactly is the goal?

YES.
Is Shadow President... dare I say.... /ourgame/?

there is no real goal unless you count getting re-elected or something
it's a presidential simulator

> What exactly is the goal?

Geo Political Simulator, too bad every game in the series is a buggy mess
its surprisingly playable it is, even today.
i like to see how much crazy shit i can get away with before getting assassinated

Just like real life!
I just loaded the game up and launched 5,000 nukes at Israel as my first order. My approval rating plummeted to low single digits and I was assassinated.
I did the exact same thing a second time and I was impeached.

Can you nuke Israel without getting impeached? Also, related, can you make yourself dictator?
