Is it really 'hard' if two thirds of the fight is essentially just a timesink in order to get to the moderately difficult end? I mean you could design any boss to drag on forever but Id find it difficult to describe it as challenging.

"Hard" seems really subjective in the dark souls community. The first two parts are easy, but I've died in the first phase alone just because I was impatiently trying to cheese her down to get on to the next phase.

Not to mention the fact that 3 phases is kind of a cheap way to make difficulty because of the fact that it basically only becomes harder as you run lower on estus.
