I usually play Native Expansion but Diplomacy seems to be, like, the most popular mod. What exactly does it do differently? I never go so far as to become a king anyway, so will I ever use its features?
I'm trying it out but I've been spoiled by Native Expansion. Its arena melee fights give lots of EXP so I can grind there early on, and there are lots more bandits to hunt. Also, I don't have to walk the streets to find Guild Masters and Elders; they're already available.

Only thing I dislike is that NE doesn't have PBOD, which sounds pretty useful based on what I've read. I hate having to tell all my troops to HOLD every battle and then give them the same commands every time.
