Deleted previous post wanting to change my wording, but settled with what I originally said.

Mother 3 is technically a better game, but Undertale just resonated with me more. It's a tighter experience, has better postmodern elements, and while the battle system is polarizing, it's still one of the most original executions of one in a while I've seen for a turn-based RPG. Can't be denied of how it borrowed a lot from Mother 3 though.
