I can either pick up Dead or Alive 5: Last Round or Blazblue: Central Fiction; DoA is cheapter btw. Which one do I get? I'm pretty new to fighters, I've never gotten deep with one. Which one has a greater fun factor? Also I'm probably going to be spending a lot of time playing alone, so which has better single player content? Thanks!
>>
Weeb, Blazblue. Fap, DoA.
>>
>>389950976
But what if I'm a weeb that faps a lot?

Anyway, which is the better game?
>>
>>389950976
Why is fp always no?
Doa5 has all kinds of neat fap features. You can toggle dirt, sweat, clothing wetness (for beach fights) and boob jiggle. After each fight, you can use the right stick to zoom in on cleavage, or get a nice upskirt. Most of the female characters are tiddy monsters, with a lolicon thrown in for good measure.

Buying you want to get serious about a fighting game, I would suggest Street Fighter IV. The online community is still fairly active, and it's one of the most fluid, dynamic fighters to be released in the past 10 years. Skip SFV because no Akuma
>>
doa is more fun. even a casual friend would enjoy it with you. BB requires a lot of learning before it gets even remotely fun.
>>
>>389951120
better fighting game? BB
better fap game? DoA
>>
As a Blazblue fan, I've been getting more disappointed with each iteration. They didn't even bother getting the dub cast back.
>>
DoA is more casual
You sholdn't play anime fighters, it's too complicated for a newfag
>>
Dead or Alive is way more fun, you have to be a hardcore autist to get the most out of Blazblue

I didn't want to hijack a thread, but gameplay only seems able to generate about a dozen replies. OP should get DOA, which is easier to get into and has plenty of fap material for when he's 'playing alone'.
>>
I've been playing BB for years, Central Fiction is probably the most "meh" version yet even considering the changes in the 2.0 update (which isn't on Steam yet assuming you wanted to get it there), but that could just be me being kind of tired of how strong offense is. As far as single player content goes, it has a story mode you won't understand if you're just jumping in now and is mostly dialogue instead of fights, arcade acts for every character that give you a little insight into them sometimes, Abyss mode, challenges, and that's it I think. Not a whole lot. It's not hard to find people to play it with on consoles, the update is recent so more people are playing online again, just avoid Ranked since it's pretty dead in every Arcsys game.
>>

>>

>>
>>389950772
Doa is a shit fighting game and only a very small portion of it's community actually plays it.

BB is an ok anime fighter though I think Guilty Gear or Uniel are better.

Idk why you'd get a fighter to just play with yourself but bb has more single player stuff to do.
>>
>>389956510
Hitomi's thirst is terrifying.
>>
>>389957592
Doa V is not shitty at all. Fuck off /v/irgin. None of you faggots know what you're talking about when it comes to fighting games. DOAV Last Round & Virtua Fighter Final Showdown are the only 3d fighters that actually try to move beyond the 90s. I can't believe are still playing that clunky Tekken bullshit where you can't even move properly unless you do some gay ass Gook wave dash. Fuck that, I'll stick to a game that actually makes sense where pointing down makes you walk south or up to go north. Fuck that Tekken bullshit that's basically a 2.5d game but pretends to be 3d.
>>
Is Last Round dead on PS3?
>>
If its on PC, get BB.
DOA5 has few players online so you are stuck playing against the AI. Pirate the game and download Private Paradise and that will be the best masturbation experience youll have with a game.
>>
Don't listen to BB fags, the same people telling you to play don't even play them games themselves. GG and BB are notorious for no play dick riders that only know how to talk shit about other fighters
>>
>>389957862

>>
>>389950772
DoA is a 3D game based around the whole counter system. It's a lot of fun, but can end up massively frustrating if you just can't wrap your head around the timing and game mechanics. You will easily be getting your ass stomped by what seems like random counter-holds until you figure out which moves are safer to use than others. On the plus side, DoA5:LR has a freebie mode where you can play as Kasumi (only) and so can try it out yourself. At least, it does on PC. I'm not sure if PS4/Xbox has that mode available.

I would definitely recommend going to through a tutorial series on DoA5 if you want to pick it up.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XiGJW9539CQ&list=PLR5AtaDf4PXJVSIDhPGxbz_uGkpBz-kjt

Blazblue is an anime fighter. That is, it relies on big flashy combo strings for a lot of the gameplay. You might get frustrated on getting "juggled" by them, and might not enjoy it as much once you realize it mostly involves pulling out a set combo string once you get a hit in. Then again, you might really enjoy that sort of gameplay. I'm less familiar with Blazblue so I can't really recommend it or not. I'll let other people say more about that game.

DOA is really beginner friendly and actually extremly fun. Most people I know who actually played it prefer it over Tekken. The fanservice ist just the cherry on top.
>>

DOA also has the Korean backdash problem.
>>
>>389951348
Akuma got added to SFV and he's also in Tekken 7.
>>
>>389950772
As far as I know both are pretty dead games, I wouldn't buy a fighting game for solo content. Look for something with an active playerbase that won't make you embarassed in case you have any friends on steam

DoA would have bigger scene if it wasn't for the tiddies as it's a decent game but people don't want others to know they play a fapbait.
>>
>>389950772
BLAZBLUE

DOA sucks, the fucking game don't have lobbies for friends in 2017, you only can play ranked matchs, without friends, fuck that game, if you buy a 3D fightan buy tekken.
>>
>>389950772
Don't get fighting games for singleplayer content. BB has a substantial story but it's the last installment in a longrunning series so it'll be dozens of hours of VN content for characters you don't care about concluding a convoluted story you weren't following.
>>
>>389960917
That's the butchered PC version of Last Round. It has a proper lobby on consoles.

I think BB's the same way actually. It's annoying, but it's something all these cheap arcade conversions seem to lack.
>>
>>389961078

>>
>>389960784
You probably wouldn't buy these games on PC to begin with. They're alive on consoles.
>>
>>389960615
Seriously though, why do 3D fighting games have this? DOA's is especially egregious because some characters can just run away forever and you can't do anything about it on larger stages.
>>
>>389959808
Fuck, my dude, your post gave me a raging boner for some reason. Guess I'm beating off before work now.
>>
>>389953748
Basically this. I'm bad at fighters but doa's rock paper scissor system works. It's deep enough you can learn combos and enjoy mastering a character. But not so hard that you feel like you can't get into it.
>>
>>389960615
But it's easier and smoother to do than in Tekken.
>>

DoA is more fun to play casually and for your dick, but actually has some solid mechanics and can be pretty in-depth if you put the time into it. Online if you can find a match you'll either run into people who just mash because they're only playing with their dicks or people who will destroy you if you don't learn how to use holds properly and recognize blockstrings.

BB just dropped a new patch a few weeks ago so it's pretty active right now. It has more single player content than DoA but you probably won't care about the story unless you've been following the games already. I don't think the learning curve or mechanics are too difficult to pick up as long as you pick a character and stick with them until you feel comfortable. It also has a very good tutorial and mission mode to teach you stuff. You're more likely to get destroyed online at first though since there's a lot of veterans of the series still playing.

But bear in mind that DoA being cheaper might be overshadowed by the copious amount of DLC.

No. You will always find people in the lobby and ranked varies, can seem dead at times and at others you can have fights every 30 seconds. Especially at low ranks.

I play on PS3 and only picked it up like 1 month ago. Bought it on sale really cheap but it was totally worth it, taking a break from it now though.

BlazBlue probably has more story related content because it's one of those game with both regular story-mode and an arcade-mode with cutscenes, but DOA has a Mortal Kombat-style story mode and is pretty much the only 3D-fighter with an actual challenge mode (where you're given combos to complete).
DOA has a nice photography-mode which got me a decent amount of play time as well - you can replay online matches you have saved or you can watch an AI character fight another one.
Have you tried DOA? Do you know that there's a free-to-play version that you can try?
