I really don't get why the capcom side is just so garbage. Things like Arthur, nemesis, spencer, hagar, Frank west, firebrand, Chris and spencer. Just why? they weren't the most popular characters and they weren't even particularly good. Capcom is off their rocker

And I get that they want to cater towards the MCU but that side is pretty much just ported from the last game.

I loved MvC3 but between the entire style of the 3 v 3 changing and just such a weak roster I can't justify wasting the money. It's a damn shame especially knowing capcom's history of killing franchises in the past.

I think people would feel better as a whole if they just came out and said "Hey, we couldn't get the licensing for X-men and F4." instead they had com oshill go out and talk about "functions".

I wanna play magneto because he's god damn magneto. Not because the triangle jump. I like doom because he's another cool villain. The fact that the characters are actually good is icing on the cake but I like the characters first and that's what made me want to play them.

All the new characters may play great for all I know but the idea of the franchise is playing as your favorite characters from different series and making them fight. And with that there's no real soul to the game. It could be technically perfect but if nobody likes the characters who cares?

If I wanted to play a fighting game where I don't know the characters at all I could pick up Guilty gear or blazblue. I played mvc for the characters I grew up liking.

It's not MVC without Wolverine.

The gameplay for the Marvel games has always been pretty mediocre but fun, only getting worse since 2.
At best, Infinite will be just as bad. But you know it's much worse.

why has the promotion for this game been so incredibly bad? there hasn't been one character trailer, while mvc3 had one for everyone. Jedah got revealed in a very bad exhibition match at EVO. Why isn't there a character trailer that shows his music, his character art, his intro, some gameplay including his hypers, and his win animation? Every character in MvC3 got that

The only marketing i've seen for this game is story mode trailers. That's great; where's everything else? You have fgc people like Max and tyrant doing stuff; for their sake I hope they're paid shills because they're doing a much better job promoting the game then the actual employees at Capcom. literally just have to clear the single player content on easy and normal and you can buy all characters so far. If you aren't a complete shitter you can do that under a few couple of hours and even have fun.

seriously, if you can't notice the pretty big differences between even just the neutral game then you've never actually played more with any of the games than a few arcades before dropping them, and probably you shouldn't shitpost about them so much.

MvC3 was an extremely broken game and MvCI seemingly fixes all of it's gameplay related issues and just builds upon it. You might call mvci a smaller but much better designed version of mvc3.

UMvC3 plays well already and is vastly superior in every other regard.

It being "different" isn't a selling point. It needs to be strictly better AND needs to compensate for all the inferior shit in the game. In other words, it needs to be godly.

Also Marvel vs Capcom was never about being super balanced (neither will MvC:I be). Going for perfect balance is full-blown retarded. This is why you implement systems and allow for more characters to compensate. Making it 2v2 actually makes it less balanced right then and there.

MvC3 went for a stylised comicbook style that made the characters pop against the background and gave a coherent look to all of the characters.

In MvC:I they instead go for a more realistic look which clashes with the designs and cast while slapping on the standard UE4 shader.

I wrote down objective problems with mvc3 and facts about the things mvci will have that definitely change these.

but even if it wasn't better (even though it's very noticably is) just simply having a lot more different gameplay is enough for some people to get plenty of hours of enjoyement out of it

I can see lot of people not being excited for this game for it's lack of new content considering it's presentation, but seeing people go on such a shitposting campaign againt's it WHILE defending similar practices with different fighting games is insane.

Dante had all those moves to make him mimic the feeling of playing him in his own games. In DMC it's all about chaining together a bunch of different moves and styles to create long stylish combos. It directly ties into the character.
If that was too much for you then you have Vergil.
Dante was objectively dumbed down in MvC:I and it moved away from his core design established in MvC3.

Gloss over? Having more characters not only makes it more fun, but also more balanced. You can bring along characters to help balance out your team.

I fucking hate this so much. This game should have been striving to, at launch, meet or break MvC2's roster size record and then add on top of that. As it stands, I'd be surprised if the DLC even comes close to having the roster come to that size. Pic related is something I wouldn't mind seeing, if not for the fact that it'll cost way too fucking much money.
