I thought Heroes was generally considered Sonic Adventure 3.

Enjoyed the gameplay of Sonic Adventure 2. 1 had good ideas for boss fights.

06 has no more in common with both Sa1 and Sa2 then heros and shadow does

Nah, if anything Sonic Unleashed is the closest we've gotten to a real SA3.

That said, neither of them have a Chao Garden, so neither count as Sonic Adventure games.

1 was great in concept
2 did a poor job at trying to emulate it
06 just fucked it up to the point where no one wants to try again

Adventure is great when I'm not fishing. Chao garden is autism simulator but thankfully it's entirely optional unlike Big's levels which are the only serious problem with the (Dreamcast version of the) game. Adventure 2 does everything so much worse, poor gotta go fast levels instead of fun platformy levels, Gamma-like levels only now they suck and emmorowld hunting levels only now they suck real bad. I have not played 2006. I would like to, but I would not like to have to pay for it because I expect it to be poor.
