It's great, I personally am enjoying it.

Doesn't surprise me. All the guys I know who played Quake back in the day all became Linux Gurus, myself included.

I mean the game and basically all the hardcore FPS games of that era basically forced you to learn how to run a Linux server, and ran really well with the Linux clients so there was no need to keep a Windows box around in the end.
Releasing Id stuff as Windows-only is going to miss a decent chunk of the hardcore fanbase. Epic caught on to that with the new UT after 3 flopped. Id knows it, their devs just recently ported some of their older stuff to Vulkan for Linux. Not sure why Bethesda is in denial.
