Well I loved Hyrule Warriors more than most musou games, so that's not really helpful. I'd say it at One Piece Warriors 3 are my favourites for direct gameplay, though honestly haven't put much time into DW7 or 8, or the empires games in a long time.

I liked it, except for all those useless endings which means you have to go trough the game multiple times.

Spartan total warrior was closest any game has ever got to being a good musou like game.
Even thou it lacks many musou elements its almost like one.

Its also funny that Warriors: Legends of Troy got such bad scores despite being the closes an official warriors game has ever gotten to being almost like a real game hat has an actual challenge.
Makes me think that Mousou is just a fundamentally boraken genre that cant function if its not mind numbingly easy.
