if these aren't official, how do people get away with making & selling them?

Obvious copyright infringement. I've recently started making 925 silver rings but would never do an exact copy from a game if it was something I was going to sell.

I think people got helicoptered for selling master chef or dark vader costumes but otherwise I've never really heard of any copyright issues unless you claim it's official merch or something

I'm referring to etsy. there's loads of blatant copyright infringement stuff, I'm surprised some of the larger studios haven't cracked down on it. Same with Game of Thrones stuff, all over etsy.
