this is true. the actual mission isn't that hard. it was just easy to take a wrong jump or fall off that ridge near the end and fail the mission once or twice and everyone remembers the line.
now even people who have not played the game have heard the line and think the mission is extremely difficult.
and if you're a decent player you can even make a jump very early on, land on the train, and take them out in less than a minute.

Zero deserved the punch to the face you give him. His plane mission was pretty hard too, you can't waste any time.

Still, nothing is worse than Vice City's "The Driver" mission where you're forced to race that faggot in an inferior car and it's almost fucking impossible to do without exploiting and getting him stuck.

Then after all that he ends up dying like a chump in the heist and you have to be the getaway driver anyway, meaning the entire thing was pointless.

yes, there are. there are stairs and ramps all along the beginning of the mission. you can fairly easily use them to make a jump and land on top of the train and you can just stand still and smoke will gun them down.
