They're all pretty mediocre RPGs and are essentially just friendship simulators, which it does well for what it's worth.

They're actually pretty terrible. 3 in particular. Tartarus is the worst excuse for level design I've ever seen in a video game, and the plot completely falls off after the midpoint climax. What the fuck is with nips and not understanding story structure?
Silent protagonists who are paramount to the plot has never been a good idea. If you're trying to sell a self insert you may as well just scream "I'm too lazy and/or talentless to write a cast of characters without having an easy foil for them to monologue to".
Games are shit. Doesn't help that the gameplay itself is absolute ass and taint.

It's not bad, it's just there to disguise the game as an actual game and not a VN. There is nothing to it. It's as basic and almost as unchanging as Dragon Quest. It's not engaging or fun, it's just something to do to break up the dialogue.
I mean who the fuck is playing Persona for the combat gameplay?
