I've only played V, but the whole single player part feels rushed and underfunded.
I've seen the artbook images online that while not directly implying it, seem to hint more story was going to be added.

They go into a lot of depth about the stages in India and the snake temple. Which never come up in the single player part. Makes me think they were cut for time.

Also the story kept getting changed before release. Originally they had Patroklos getting trained by his Aunt Cassandra but they changed it to getting trained by Setsuka.
I guess Cassandra was never finished so they changed the story but then they never finished Setsuka just her combat style.
