Difficulty SPIKES are bad. Difficulty CURVES are good game design. The difficulty in this game is handled extremely intelligently right up until the moment you beat Rom, at which point it goes "Okay all that buildup we did is pointless here's hordes of enemies you can't possibly manage all at once, screw you". Bloodborne's second half feels like it was designed by the B team.

No. I enjoyed unseen village, mildly liked nightmare of mensis and Upper cathedral Ward is one of my favorite Ares in the game.

Unseen village looks good and the amygdala are fun but there's no new enemies, just gauntlet of old ones with jacked up stats. Mensis again looks great but the gameplay is tedious shit and only new enemies are trash spiders. Upper cathedral is fine but optional not mainarea

Someone stated it earlier in the thread, but i don't like how Unseen Village and Mensis just become areas where you NEED to sprint through rather than play the game.
Unseen Village has three bell summoners that require that kind of gameplay as well as the amygdala laser section, not counting the optional section with all of those weird mimic things opposite the boss door. Mensis also has this any time frenzy is involved, be it mother brain and her mountain of wolf men, rock throwers, and spiders, or the bridge with all of the winter lanterns.

Enemies are not new but I liked the bell maiden concept level plus I did not struggle much with the area and the main complaint against it is how you have to sprint through the area, so maybe that is why I liked it.

Spiders are found in the chalice dungeons. Mainly Loran. The majority are in Loran, in fact. All over Loran. But mostly that one room.

The other areas aside it are actually pretty unique and offer some fun gunplay but Yahar-gul just has none of that. I don't think I look forward to it each playthrough and the feeling is no stronger than when you actually get there.
