>game has permadeath and random crits
>game has quick soft reset
>RPG doesn't let you be completely evil
>>389826982
>enemy waits 20 turns to attack you
>Game has quicksave/quickload feature that completely circumvents any RNG
>>389827252
I feel ya. Honestly, I would have just preferred if Advance Wars didn't have any RNG, even though it only amounts to a 10% difference at max, it really feels like it should be purely about strategy.
Can this be a Nino thread?
>>389828501
But Nino is useless and shit
>>389828636
>Nino
>Useless
Sonia please go. Nino is very helpful.
blazing sword is shit
sacred stones is the superior GBA Fire Emblem
>>389828707
She is trash. Garbage. Human refuse. A useless child who needs to be babied to do anything of note.
>>389828867
If she's so useless why do many people use her?
If she's so useless why is she the best Green Mage in Heroes?
>>389829194
Taking pity on the retarded child to allow her to feel useful.
> best Green Mage in Heroes?
Roy's wife says otherwise.
>>389826982
FE is all about making 100% reliable tactics, if you got "unlucky" you probably took some unnecessary risk due to your bad planning.
>>389829435
No one fucking restarts the game from the start after a game over you jewish whore
>>389829356
>Roy's wife
>Lilina is a red mage
>>389829356
>Horse Memes when Brave Ike, Brave Lyn and various ploys running around.
Cecilia may be the best FE6 girl, but she's not better than Nino.
Nino is the strongest green.
>>389826982
It's all about risk management. People don't tend to think about things like that and think direct outcomes are the only thing that matters.
>play Mordheim
>difficult game with permadeath AND permanent injuries
There ain't nothing like when your tank character loses his hand and can't use a shield anymore.
>>389829530
>>389829356
um no sweeties, roy's wife is a dragon
>>389829567
How does Brave Lyn being a thing invalidate Cecilia? BLyn actually screws over Nino more since Cecilia can run Raven effectively, unlike the useless loli. Ploys are a meme and affect Nino the same as Cecilia. Brave Ike does well against her, but he's only one unit that any red can handle well.
>>389828501
Have a png version.
>been running auto battle in TT for the past couple hours with no problems
>suddenly my team gets wiped out on map 2
Alrighty, then.
>Jaffer gets to pound that green pussy
I'm jelly.
>>389826982
>play Sacred Stones as my first FE since it was given out in the ambassador program
>end up spending about 200 hours just to clear Ephraim's route because I autistically don't want anyone to die and I reset every time someone died to some bullshit
>the GBA ports on 3DS don't have save states so that meant I had to restart the chapter every time
And that's when I decided that any future FE games I play will be on emulators. Fuck random crits in a permadeath game.
>>389830468
Recent games in the series since New Mystery have had an optional mode that removes permadeath. If your unit gets incapacitated they just retreat and are unusable for the remainder of that battle and you get them back right after.
>>389830675
Yeah, that sounds a lot better. I was gonna play Awakening next for that reason.
>>389826982
>character lays eggs
>>389830734
what do you think nino's eggs smell like... haha...
>game lets characters do their best
>the crit percentage and the actual rate don't match at all
>>389830734
>It's not clear how characters reproduce without harming their young in the womb
Transforming races are so confusing
>game gives you a weak character near the end of the game
>if you train them up and let them do their best they end up surpassing everyone
Why don't more games do this?
Don't forget the random stats too
The only problem I've had with RNG in the games I've played is having a Berserker or Swordmaster boss in FE6 with their higher crit rate than their FE7 variants. Sucks spending 15 mins to get through a map only to have to pray the boss won't crit you.
>>389830468
Nigga, Sacred Stones was easy as fuck. I played through it in waiting rooms when I had many doctor appointments back in the day.
>200 hours
Do you have some mental condition?
