I think the fast paced gameplay is very enjoyable. The grind isn't all that bad considering how good the gameplay is. The biggest problem for me personally is the lack of difficulty. You pretty much just fuck up everything in the game without giving it much thought.

Warframe isn't really a challenging game, and when it gets challenging, it's mostly over who oneshots who first. There's rarely any middle ground.

Also there's a ton of enemies that stun you without much of a warning. Fuck that.

Grindy but fun. Definitely better than Destiny 1 ever was, don't know about Destiny 2, though.

The hardest gear to grind is usually the best though. If you go by looks sure your crappy dual vastos won't do anything on endgame but those aren't hard to get at all.

Grinding isn't even an issue anymore, there's so much gear you WILL be getting lots of weapons and frames to know what to do with them. Slots will be an issue, though.

It's basically ShootCraft. You shoot then you craft. Again and again to get your Mastery Rank up which requires a special hidden exp gained by leveling new gear which feeds back into shooting and crafting.

Which is fine if you're into that, I know I am, unfortunately the game doesn't really do a good job of getting you into that loop by itself so expect to stumble through your first few planets totally clueless.

The main difference between Destiny and Warframe is that Destiny offers tons of individual items that are all pretty samey (outside of exotics) while Warframe offers a smaller selection of more unique items (essentially every weapon hews closer to an exotic in Destiny). Instead of grinding for a good perk roll on a specific gun, you grind for resources and blueprints to craft an identical copy of a gun (or warframe, or sentinel or melee weapon).

Then you grind for specific mods to put in that gun, which are basically the equivalent of the perks in Destiny. You pick the "perks" but you gotta grind for them separately.

You're in for enjoyable gunplay and bouncing around walls, but for a helluva grind too. Don't play it obsessively though, play it in bursts with another game. Use every weapon until it hits level 30, then decide whether you want to keep it or trash it to make space for newer weapons. You'll need to grind out stats on as many guns, frames, melee weapons, and other things as you can to rank up mastery, which is used to gate off some of the better gear.

And another good example is if a new weapon comes out and it's OP, but then gets nerfed a week later. On console we'll know it's going to get nerfed before we even get it so we don't have to waste time putting and Forma in it or anything.

Or the opposite, if a new gun comes out and it's just flat-out fun we can gather the resources ahead of time if it happens to have particularly strange building requirements.

As a veteran I'll give my honest opinion

Warframe is a good game, an extremely good game with fantastic gameplay however this is held back by the insane grind and retarded devs who keep increasing the grind every other update on top of getting rid of anything that might be beneficial to the player. so as a new player it will be really fun but as soon as you start hitting end game it becomes a chore to even play the game
