Something was just different about the tone of the campaign - the original felt lonely and full of wonder, whereas 2 felt like a silly soap opera at times, which only got worse in 3 (although I liked 3 more than 2 overall). 2's multiplayer also felt less strategic than 1's somehow, with more 'aim and hold the trigger' than actual tactical movement. then there's the cliffhanger you mentioned, ugly graphics in many ways, and less interesting environments than halo 1. a great game with an awesome suite of mode and features, but h1 and h3 are easily better.

Theres literally nothing wrong with regenerating health and when you scream shit like this it sounds like you've never actually sat down and played any of the games. Regenerating health is fine in halo because enemies punish you for sitting under cover. They actively aggress towards your position, throw grenades, shoot you when you poke out, and will take cover themselves which means they will heal too. So if you play defensively you will be punished.

What is wrong with this? Halo's always been about adapting towards the enemies on the battlefield. The games reward you for playing in different ways and it adds replayability towards the game. There's honestly nothing wrong with this and I doubt you can explain why.
