That's not really surprising, Kite is basically a blank slate. Haseo is an actual character with a pretty great development arc over the GU story and a history as Sora, who was pretty popular already.

Atoli isn't really likable til late vol 2 - vol 3 when she stops being depressed and starts standing up for herself. Alkaid starts off competitive but gets really friendly after the tournament and is also much more upfront about her attraction to Haseo. Lot of people think Alkaid was a better match overall for Haseo as well. I hope they do something with her in the new vol 4, she's usually the most popular female character in polls
