Jesus christ. Everything I read about this game makes it worse and worse. This basically confirms that it was originally just going to be Fates Warriors. Then at some point in development they decided to throw in Awakening for "variety". Which just meant sdding Chrom and a few people for him to talk to. And then Marth to appease the people on the dev complaining about it. I've never been more disgusted by a game ever.

If they're operating under the principle that Awakening/Fates are doing the heavy lifting, then the sequel's either got nothing to guarantee easy sales or they double up and do one of them again. Shadow Dragon/Blazing Sword/Awakening would've worked fine for "FE Warriors Featuring The First Games 90% of the Playerbase Started With" plus establishing a format of "super old game, older game and newest game" would've made each entry a lot more appealing.

I feel the same way about Tharja, honestly. She's a trash character and a lot of people are happy she's not in, but she's one of the most iconic things about Awakening for better or worse. If they can't include such memorable Awakening characters like her what hope do they have for any other entry in the series? It'd be like if they excluded Nino AND Jaffar from a FE7 musou.
