What's good about it? A lot of the boss fights are pretty bad, melee combat is okay I guess but it feels like you have to use ranged weapons too much, the alternate swords are basically the same as the first one. It's an okay game on its own but compared to DMC1 it's really bad and much lower in quality.

Dmc1 was ok everyone knows this dmc2 improved on the game and made things more I interesting trying to break through normal playstyles. It's a fitting end to dmc2, anything after 2 was a mistake.

DMC1 is the best in the series, IMO. Later titles might have faster and more fluid combat but enemy design, atmosphere, music, etc. was all better in the first. And it's not like the first had bad combat, it's just slightly slower.

I'm guessing this is a troll post anyway, but DMC2 did nothing for playstyle.

Combat is a little better, but I think everything else is better in 1. I didn't like the bosses in 3 as much. The Hell Vanguard, Cerberus, and Agni & Rudra fights were decent, but everything else was kind of bad.

Music in 3 was kind of corny too. Story is good in both.

I agree about DMC3's bosses. It has a few great ones but a lot of mediocre or bad ones. Only boss I would call bad in DMC1 is Nightmare.

Yeah that's my issue. Some of the normal enemies were okay too, but the angel things were really bad, and the archer enemies too.

I like the Nightmare fights, but I can see why some people wouldn't. The only fight I dislike is Mundus 1 on DMD because of how long it takes and it forces you to smash the shoot button for like 5 minutes straight.

1's story is trash. Music is subjective as fuck but I personally prefer 3's. 3 is stylish as fuck and I don't even know how you can dispute that. 1 has good bosses but that's partially because 1 only really has 6 bosses. 3 has good bosses too.

I like them both. Neither story is really subtle, but I like the symbolism in DMC1. My favorite is Dante restarting the heart after defeating the Nightmare.

I said that the combat in 3 is faster and more stylish, but that doesn't mean the combat in DMC1 is worse. And since I think some of the enemies and bosses are worse than DMC1's overall, the better combat doesn't always matter.

If I give DMC1 a 10/10, then DMC3 would get 8.5 or 9/10. It's not bad and I'm not trashing the game, I had fun with it and liked most aspects of it, but I feel DMC1 was better overall.
