How many times does this need to be covered? Olgierd is a tragic character who wanted to live forever and experience life at its fullest. He wanted to marry Iris at almost any expense and though I don't remember it ever being stated you can imagine he was asked who he loved more, his brother or his wife. Yes he was a rat bastard earlier than this running around raiding towns and pillaging and shit (the difference between a bandit and a king is the king calls his thugs soldiers) but at the end of the day G O'D played on his ignorance by making him sign a contract with some obscure and very serious consequences that would unravel behind the scenes. Go'D says he only gives people exactly what they want, so let's break it down shall we?

He gives olgierd a heart of stone. Olgierd didn't want to feel fear or remorse (he was a murderer after all) and so his reward was literally the lack of capacity for empathy.

He gives Olgierd immortality. Olgierd still suffers wounds though, he is covered in scars physically and mentally.

He gives Olgierd the wife he wanted. He had to make a choice however, and his brother was killed a day or two later as a result. His brother was also a pillaging murderous bastard as well so no real loss there.

By the end of the story Olgierd is nothing but regret and anger, he filled his house with demons, enslaved the woman he loved, killed his brother, lost his family fortune, lived for hundreds of years and all he has achieved is lost to time and noone even remembers who he is. Then Go'D comes knocking and sends a patsy to do the job, someone who was frighteningly efficient. You can say it was karma that he got what he deserved but if he had remained mortal there's nothing to suggest he wouldn't have just eventually died in a fight and gone to hell anyway.

Felt like there were actual boss fights too, everything in the base game was just quen tanking and bomb spamming

Caretaker was fun, even though you just had to bait it's combo then dodge behind it, it's a million times better than anything else in the game
