Your highest leveled digimon in the DNA digivolution, plus the level of the complimentary digimon divided by 5 (rounded down) will be your new level cap. So if you use Ogremon, level 16, to fuse with Octomon, level 14, for a Goburimon, you can get your new Goburimon to level 18 before you must fuse again to increase the level cap.

For me what made it so good was the gameplay it self, without all the talking and lingering.

Re:Digitize has too much talking and unnecessary cutscenes, plus the gameplay is kinda sluggish imo.

even after all this years i still haven't finished this game
every single thing in the game from the walking animations, to talking to people, to leaving town, to everything about the battles is really slow and drawn out. it makes everything take way longer than it should and results in me getting burned out

I play this game every weekend for a few hours, hoping to beat it. Took up the task 2 months ago on my Ps1 and don't even have my first ultimate yet, or even have beat the Blood Knights the first time. My Ps1 also experiences massive slowdowns when loading this game for some reason, so the battles and loading screens drag out even longer.

This game was meant to have a frame adjustment mod and a fluidity mod, otherwise this game is more of a chore than fun.

I stopped watching the anime during the episode where Deltamon first appeared, as he and MetalWarGreymon were going to consume one of the digi friends as they hanged from a bridge. Scared the shit out of me, had nightmares for two days afterwards. Never watched the anime ever again after watching that episode.

if you're like ~16 hours in you should be a lot further. You're not doing the hugely time wasting task of using the starter and catching rookies who cap at level 13 and DNA digivolving them right?

The higher level you catch a digimon at the higher their level cap will be and more the cap will increase when you do DNA digiolve them.

My first slowdown was that I wasn't able to catch MetalGreymon early on, the toy plane didn't work. And since I was the virus squad and not the vaccine squad, I couldn't buy any more gifts at that time to guarentee his recruitment. So that set me back a little bit. Also, I spent a few hours trying to get Tsukaimon in order to obtain Bakemon, which was also a dumb decision due to the very next domain I went to had Tsukaimon with some champion digimon.

In short, Agumon is truly the best team, and I definitely should not be leveling rookies, you caught me slipping right there.
