After years of GBA/GBC with just one game a year from my uncle if I was lucky, getting a flashcart for the DS was like a dream come true. DSTT is better.

My first R4 ended up permanently freezing in the initial black Loading screen so I had to buy a second one. I still feel the dread whenever the 2nd R4 sometimes freezes like that.

My brothers bought it back in 2007 for £40 each, so £120 overall. When they came home and set it up we didn't get Pokémon Diamond/Pearl since we wanted to wait for Christmas but after a day we just said "fuck that" and downloaded it.

I'm happy I had one, since it let me play tons of DS games for free that I would've never had the chance to. The Ace Attorney games, Ghost Trick, Scribblenauts, All DS Pokémon's (before they'd come out in the west as well since the Japanese rom's always worked), Solatorobo, Advance Wars, Rhythm Heaven, Daigasso Band Brothers, TWEWY, Chrono Trigger etc.

The only drawback is now I want to own these games and they're hard to come by/expensive.

DSi has a sound sample of 44100hz though and sound quite well, but a dedicated player is better just because of equalization.
