What is your opinion on Mass Effect 1?

The combat sucks so bad that I hate it. It's a shame since deep down, it's probably good.

I just wanted ME1 with ME3 combat.

There's a lot of things I hate about it like featureless planets and having to shoot through the same space warehouse 30 times, but every time I boot up the game I'm still super pumped to do it again and play it a little differently than I did last time

All explorable planets are desolate wastes
Pistols are overpowered
The absolute worst squad AI
Disappointing sidequests
Messy inventory UI

It's pretty clunky, but it's still the best ME in terms of story, atmosphere, and RPG elements.
