Also there's simply the matter of: When you pay for something standards change. If a mod corrupts my save file it's somewhat to be expected but if it's a paid mod? Nope. That's entirely unacceptable. Standards will raise on very obvious things such as textures but I very much doubt they're going to invest the manpower to actually get things like compatibility workings.

Bethesda could shut down free mods in a second. They could have the Nexus taken down in a day.

But they haven't. They are one of the few developers that provides support for modding their games. They don't have to.

Bethesda gets so much hate yet the only reason we have mods is because Bethesda allows it. They could be like most other developers and not allow modding, but they aren't.

I just hope none of the good modders stop creating just because of this again.

I didn't buy Fallout 4. I took one look at what they did to dialogue and stat management and said "This series is now FarCry with shit shooting mechanics."

they mostly have to make new shit because Creation Club is intended to get all the money off the console plebs. Virtually all the existing mods all relied on PC-exclusive utility, and when the chinks and BRs and RUs were stealing free shit off Nexus to list for jewgolds on Todd's Paid Mods site, the mods were freezing the consoles. Some modders even began sabotaging their mods to freeze up consoles to make sure that the Playstation and XBOX players wouldn't support paid mods like they've accepted everything else up their willing asses.

You don't get regular payments for your mods, its a one time payment and Bethesda can take the mod away from you any time. You are literally just depositing content for not much in return, no future job prospect or bigger payments. You could be selling away a really massive mod and then be told to fuck off its as simple as that.
