my folks actually crashed into the back of an SUV once in their 1959 ford and the grill was just made of a pot metal that popped out and the radiator got pushed into the fan on the motor, insurance paid to have it repaired but it was a good $10,000 repair.

basicly what happened is the bumpers wern't quite the same height so it launched the suv up and into the grill instead of bumper to bumper which would of been ideal.
