But point of Superman is not in whether he can die or not. He is godlike larger-than-life character, who serves more like a symbol rather than someone who is suppose to struggle against impossible challenges. The combat is meh at best because no one ever really fights unless it's one sided and over in five seconds.
The main draw is how the characters interact so you not seeing that they do is surprising. Especially if you watched most of the show.
