Orwell was a retard politically. He was one of those pipe dream socialists that thought socialism was possible without authoritarianism.

His hate for and warnings of authoritarianism are warranted and well written, as well as strong predictions. But he did not know how socialism could work, just that he wanted it to work without authoritarianism (hint: it can't).
Animal farm is anti socialism and communism simply because such systems cannot be implemented in ways other than the ways they are implemented in animal farm.
