While they made the first ability be more expensive, they also made the later ones cheaper, and such unlocking all three abilites takes less xp now than it did before.
So the strat now is to get all three abilities before scrubbing, while before it was just getting the first one.

How do you live with yourself knowing you're so scared of a boogeyman you check under your bed every night for reddit?

Fooling around with tri in test area and it still has no falloff damage unless of course something is underneath you. Otherwise every hit on even terrain or above you is still 52 even if you just glance a dummy with a side hit. So it's still powerful really. I mean you could maybe escape the second hit and regen like 5 health and be able to take another hit turning it into a 3 hit ko but I doubt that would happen often. If the slosher is on you you're probably dead still. The range nerf is what probably hurts the most.

My impression is that they gave ink armor users a ton of knockback when taking damage exceeding its cap and doesn't make you flat out invulnerable until it comes off if you take a big enough hit.

Sure gonna see a lot more people using stingray sets though now that you don't have to try and shoot a grain of rice a mile off with a laser pointer.
