What was your reaction when you found out?

Never got into Sonic games, or was interested in his character. I didn't play any MGS games and i was more shocked about Snake getting in just because of how off the radar it was.

I was in grade 8. I didn't really give a shit because that was around the age I was growing out of Nintendo games. I had bought a Wii the year before but my interest in it quickly dissolved when I got an Xbox 360, Call of Duty 2 and Xbox Live. I was addicted to that shit. I remember not even picking up Brawl until several days after launch. I played it a good amount but I remember once I put it down I never picked it up again. I probably only put 8-12 hours into that game.

See I truly don't get this. I had well grown out of Sonic by the time grade 7 came around. And by "grown out" I literally mean I looked down on him as if he was some childish, cringe worthy character (and he is). And I remember literally no one in my middle school or high school played or gave a shit about Sonic. Maybe it's just me. IDK. But I sure as hell know everyone knew about Mario Brothers and everyone played Smash and Mario Kart.

I personally just got into emulation at the time and got into sonic 3&K so I really liked it. Of course soon after in the 9th grade of highschool I stopped giving a shit about sonic because the modern ones sucked dick.

3&K is still a top tier platformer though
