Hardest? I found Demon's Souls to be the easiest souls game. Dark Souls 3 was mechanically the most difficult, but it isn't as good of a game as Demon's Souls.

I found DaS3 to be the easiest by far, it was the only game in the series where a boss failed to kill me more than 5 times (even the DLC), whereas the rest had one that killed me at least 10 times

by the end of demon souls I had more healing items than I needed for 10 playthroughs
