DS4 is a good design but they are fucking cheaply made. Not worth $60. I've had three of them break. Trigger fell off and x button just stopped workin on a brand new one.

It is objectively the worst controller ever made. That stupid fucking light drains the battery to shit, the touchpad is an obnoxious piece of shit, the Start button (or Options for whatever fucking reason, good job Sony that's real personal) is tiny and the fucking Share button should not even be there.

I haven't run into problems with my DS4 and I've had it for almost 2 years. Played more games than a healthy person would and the only problem I have with it is the indented Options/Share buttons and the low batt life.

It's streamlined yes, and everyone uses it, but using it for hours hurts. Especially when playing fighters, the blisters you develop on your thumb are painful.

They wanted to create a controller that could play games that use a mouse.
As a result, it can play any game, but is worse than mouse and keyboard for mouse and keyboard games, and worse than normal controllers for games that use controllers.
Since everyone with a PC already has keyboard and mouse there is no reason to get it instead of a normal controller.

Switch is great partially because you can change it based on your needs. When my cousin and I were waiting for food at Applebees, we used the joycons and played some Fast RMX.

People here underestimate just how good it really is. Yeah the joycons are small and the screen is for two people, but just being able to play some multiplayer on the go with one person's Switch is great.

/v/ is a board for ENTHUSIASTS, you should all be using more than a single catch all controller. Switch Pro, Xbone, and DS4 are fine for casuals who only want one vidya controller. It's worth having several that excel in different areas.
Steam Controller is the most versatile and I use it the most often and can be wired.
WiiU Pro for anything that requires both sticks being real physical sticks like Metal Gear Rising, and games that require proper dpads
Pokken is for dpad games and wired connection
