If you're buying on launch, PS4. Vita version is missing content because the PS4 version didn't come out in Japan until a while after. PC version runs you the risk of having a buggy launch. Your best bet is PS4.

I got a review copy weeks ago and played through the whole game + post game. It's not that bad, but it's nowhere near as good as it could or should be.

People are saying it takes a dive, but it's pretty consistent. Some things are good, a few translations are bad, but it's mostly an average translation. It just comes off so much worse because the series was well translated up to this point.

After Disgaea 1 they started doing invite betas for their games. They've apparently been fine since then. Would warn that from what people in Ys 8 beta are saying, it's still having performance issues. Example being a 1080 is having trouble keeping it at 60fps.
