Getting a job is bullshit these days. Sometimes I have days like you described, I usually apply for work every week. Most I've ever gotten in 5 years is first interviews for mcjobs, never been hired. In order not to go insane, I do chores, take a walk, or take a nap. Sometimes I sit in the malaise you described until it passes or I have to get up and do something like wash the family's dishes. Take a shower, clean your house, brush your teeth, shave, grab a cup of coffee, grind some more coffee beans, get a kettle of tea going, do some laundry. If you get up and do something it adds a bit more variance to your day and gives you something to do. I know if I don't, I'll sometimes lay in bed for hours staring off into space thinking. Go help your family with something, if they're willing to accept it, I know being NEET is strenuous on relationships like that.
I know it's hard to try new things, whether it's due to money or motivation, but try to find something you enjoy. Something that can keep you adequately challenged or occupied. If you don't, you'll stagnate and get the brain fog most NEETs experience after a long period of "mindlessness".
Overall, if you enjoy video games, boot one up. Don't think about how you don't feel like playing that game in particular, just boot it up. See that backlog? You can play it. Just open the game anon. Getting started is the hardest part.

The original could be completed after a few runs, took me around 2 hours but it was a lot of fun. I emulated the Mega Drive version but the arcade version would be the true experience.

You could also play the 2006 version, but I'd say to do that after you've finished all 5 routes of the original.
