Be honest

3 was overhyped in the sense that absolutely nothing could do good on the absurd amount of hype that Halo 3 had to it, but it was still a fantastic game that didn't dissapoint.

There are other games that are way more overhyped then it because they actually dissapointed people, rather then Halo 3 which was still a 9.5/10 game, just with 15/10 expectations.

It was the next-gen debut of the game that put its entire publisher and console on the map, as well as introduced an entire generation of people to online play.

And the game was really fucking awesome, to this day I consider 3 to be all around the best game in the franchise.

If you want an actual overhyped game by the media check out The Last of Us, mediocre shitpile of a game with zero identity

Halo 3 is def the best of all and I played it in the 2011 for the first time

I did, it was great. If you were actually into the lore of Halo it was a 9/10 game, if not then probably 7/10.

It also ended the series, there was is no game chronologically after 3, after this it's just fanfiction by 343. Reach also blows.
