I started playing with female character because when I was younger, I would always try to make a character that looked like me, but it wouldn't work because it didn't look like me, or it did, but I don't have a protagonist's face, so it would just look weird. I would then try to make a cool dude, but I thought it was gay that I was trying to make a guy look good, and I couldn't just make a silly looking one, so I just started playing with female characters, they were easier to make. Today I just do it because force of habit or something.
