I think MGSV does a great case of featuring it but not shoving it down your throat, like if you're already educated about PTSD then you can pick up all the signs from the majority of the main characters

>>
Hellblade

>>389529887
That shit gave me PTSD
>>
Alan Wake could be having PTSD, if I don't remember wrong he's described as some lunatic running around in the woods killing people in the night, meanwhile he thinks they are shadow demons or something. Or he could just be normal crazy
>>
>pre-packaged ptsd
Red Orchestra and Rising Storm gives you the ptsd experience
>>
>>389529963
nah, it's a Schizophrenia.

I'll never forget my first time playing RO2, proning in a trench beside a German soldier holding his hands to his stomach, bleeding and calling out for his mother, his voice slowly fading. I've had game change me, like Stalker, Souls-series, Spec Ops, etc, but nothing that did its job this fast
>>
>>389530146
Yes the voices, but then she suddenly sees everything as on fire and burning people attacks her. And then she flips out and lies crying a while. That's PTSD if anything
>>
>>389530253
>literally simulating a scene from All Quiet on the Western Front in a vidya

jesus... I tried out RS2 and it didn't have this effect at all
>>
>>389530362
I've only played RO2, RS and RS2, and I think they captured the human aspect much better in RO2 than the other two
>>
Oh, Mafia 3.
Call Of Cthulhu?
Dead Space
Amnesia: the Dark Descent
The Evil Within
Alan Wake
I don't know about Outlast tho
>>
>>389529935
I think most of them apply primarily to V but the rest, especially Kaz, fit in there.

>had trouble remembering important parts of the event
V
>had very negative beliefs about yourself, others or the world
The world calls for wetwork, and we answer. No greater good. No just cause.
>persistently blamed yourself or others for what happened
Cipher, Huey.
>persistently felt negative, angry, guilty or ashamed
V feels guilt evidenced by his hallucinations, Kaz is angry all the time, Quiet and Code Talker are ashamed about their part in things.
>had trouble feeling positive emotions (e.g. love or excitement)
I think V and Quiet's stifled romance arc could be an indicator of this, their failure to express their emotions positively being linked to their trauma. You could also argue that it's because the fucking game isn't finished, but we'll work with what we have.
>engaged in reckless or self-destructive behaviour
All of these apply to most of the named characters.

The only character I feel very little of this applies to is Ocelot, and I think that's because he's portrayed as a very intelligent psychopath from the get-go, who becomes more and more deranged as the series progresses (chronologically in-universe)

He doesn't seem to feel guilt or shame, and after he meets Big Boss and the death of his mother he's never shown to feel fear again, so naturally he could never suffer PTSD if he feels none of these things.

because rs2 has meme tier dialogue (GONNA GET A HEART FOR THIS ONE) and shit voice actors. play rising storm 1 if you want actual ptsd

Can't wait to hear your hot take on what game is a masterpiece if not that.
>>
>>389530823
The most emotionally strong and lorewise deep game, or rpg, of the last 5 years at least.
>>
>>389531025
Probably Call of Duty or whatever
>>
>>389530782
It's as pretty as it's heavy. Fuck, even now some memories of it hurt me on a physical level.
>>
>>389531151
>>389530823
it's also a skyrim mod, a sequel to an Oblivion mod the team made. A total conversion with their own really big open world map, lore, and decent voice acting
>>
>>389531331
Nehrim and Enderal are barely connected tho.
>>
Do skyrim mods work with Enderal?

The core game play is still as bad as Skyrim mechanically
>>
>>389531456
Most of them, such as textures and models, seem to work with no problems. There are many test list on forums and leddit, google it. I recommend to use ony a few mods, and keep Enderal as clear as possible.
>>
The S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series game me some sort of PTSD. Fuck those games (but I still love them)
>>

Darkest dungeon.
>>
Darkwood may count
It has insanely spooky atmosphere until you figure out what is spooks and what is real danger
Doesn't break the atmosphere with jump scares or other such cheap tricks
>>
>>389529657
Steins;Gate 0.
