Because even though an aliens fps would practically make itself(that movie pioneered the space marine genre), it somehow was sloppily made and is yet another disappointment to throw on the fire

it should have never came out. gearbox siphoned the dev budget to make borderlands. sega cancelled it and then got timegate to rush it out. it was woefully incomplete due to unfinished redesigns and the ai was horrendous.

Because they made reckless references to the movies like scattering around weapons of the characters as if they were "artifacts" when the characters were just complete nobodies and likewise their weapons would be meaningless to anybody else.
