China has a law where if you want to do business in their country you need to partner with a native Chinese company and let them develop your game for their country.

Tencent develops League of Legends in China, they're also known for stealing assets from other games and rebranding them as chinese original OC donut steel so they make chinese players think the west copied them because china is so great.

china is so fucked up, they buy our companies for cheap and use the acquisitions to boost their stock values, then they swap the companies around to continually boost each other's companies financially, and the actual companies being swapped around may never notice any of this.
