Yes, actually. I understand form over function when it comes to games. I do have a willing suspension of disbelief. Fire Emblem and Etrian Odyssey have great armor designs that at least look functional. This and OP though? No.

What do you mean it doesn't work? If it's in the game and it makes them harder to kill then it obviously works. What it looks like, especially in a fantasy setting, is completely subjective when you're dealing with the land of make believe.

I was pretty mad when they changed the art style for Class 3 and made it so anime. I mean I know they had one of the Kafka but still they completely ruined the look of their game.

Awakening onward really is all over the place, but in Charlotte's defense she IS a berserker (a reckless class that doesn't wear much armor) and her bikini plate is actually reflected in her class' low DEF stat. Plus male berserkers are about equally naked as far as armor goes.

The F mercenary's designs are pretty good in my book. I really like the gambeson look that Soleil and Luna got.

You posted Rage of bahamut artwork, which is hard to count since a number of artists worked on that game. As far as uniquely SV art goes you have character like Erika who is just a hybrid maid-samurai-knight.
