What's more likely is a lot of the energy is used in power assisted mobility and defensive applications, followed by some CPU power and a ton of it is simply not harnessed at all (lights and sparks). Argent mostly helpful for resisting the manipulations of hostile energy in cases of mutation and possession most importantly, least of all the directly damaging elements of fire and plasma.

Also Berserk doesn't really affect energy, it's just a psycho-physio stimulant that makes punching things seem a really good idea

Alex Mercer survived a nuke at point blank range and James Heller killed him, so Heller is probably one of the more badass video game characters.

Then again, both of them can be killed with a dozen or so rockets fired from basic handheld launchers, so I don't know what to believe.
