Eh, Extreme-G had some pretty good sequels (except for 2) unlike ShadowMan. 2econd Coming can eat a dick.
Forsaken was cool but I'd rather replay any Descent game than Forsaken.

I never made it to there anyway, I really sucked back then.
I really loved the bits I did see though.

Always wanted to get into this game, but the early 3D graphics are downright nasty in this one, it's so low poly yet it unironically tries to go for a realistic look failing miserably. I grew up in the 90s and I love old games, but this one's just butt ugly. Even the first Silent Hill looks way better.

Never beat the N64 version, but last year I got it from GOG and finally 100% goddamn completed it.

Beat it with my dad. We absolutely used a guide from old Gamefaqs/Neoseeker/whatever. Got the second machine gun, too. Was lots of fun but really jank.

You play Shadowman. Michael such and so. You're a mobster who's family dies at some point, including your anooying niglet of a brother. You die in a hit and are brought back my Momma Netti, a voodoo dindu who sews the mask of shadows into your chest. This lets you travel back and forth between the realms of life and death. Since you "wear" the mask you're automatically tasked with saving the world or more accurately, balancing life and death. So you go through the games, meet a great snak skeleton who's hilarious Oiresh, meet some serial killers who are trying to build a literal nightmare engine inside a gigantic evil fortress doing some shit in the real world. In the end you fight the biblical legion who is actually well voiced and then you save the world.

Basically it's a third person action adventure metroid like. You collect powers and explore different locations to collect powers to backtrack to get to places you couldn't get before.
Cool thing is that you can travel between the real world, where you are well, a skinny Louisiana black guy with a gun, and the Deadside where you are ass kicking ShadowMan.
The hole game reeks of late 90s/early 2000s edgy art. Like a Tool music video clashing with the movie 7 + Voodoo but not going totally overboard.
It's pretty neat and unique.
