What games have really good necromancy?
Diablo II is the only one of the series that I played Necromancer, but damn by the end of that your skelly gank squad is powerful enou to clear rooms
Path of Exile has multiple versions of summoners
the one that comes closest to a necromancer feel is Raise Spectre type
if anyone has any games that feel the same id like to know those aswell
i heard grim dawn had some okay things in that direction aswell

I loved them in Heroes of Might and Magic 5, although to access the necromancer campaigns you have to slog through the human and demon campaigns first (as well as half an orc campaign for the DLC)

too bad actual gameplay is shit
dwarf fortress
>kill dragon
>drag corpse into city
>reanimate it and watch it go
Unironically Dwarf Fortress.

Roll a solo cleric/mage in bg2 and fill all your level 3 priest slots with summon undead spells.
Bless and chant the fuckers, sends them to rape shit.

Grim Dawn has just occultist and shaman, necromancer is coming within few weeks/months with expansion.

>capped at 5 summons
Summoning was only fun in BG1. They ruined it in BG2.

Fuck that. If you want to spawn an almost immortal abomination, raise a giant sponge.

>not just uncapping summons with a mod

I miss the fuck out of GW1 necros, even if corpse exploitation was a pretty bad mechanic. Now we have Reaper, a failed Pyramid Head. And the base necro just summons minions from the aether.
