What should Valve do to ensure high-quality indies with good production values don't get buried underneath the piles of shit on Steam?

"High Quality"
>Cosmetics don't save
>Leveling and Exp are broken and almost never actually display
>The balance is god awful

It's a low effort cash grab with awful gameplay. You aren't entitled to people's money if you make shit

it's not their obligation

Compared to the endless Unity asset flips, RPG Maker titles and other $1 non-games flooding the store then yes, it is high quality.

Just because they aren't "obligated" to do it doesn't mean they shouldn't do it or wouldn't greatly benefit from it.
Some people are vastly under-estimating the sheer amounts of low-quality low-effort $0-3 shit on the store and how it has managed to overwhelm everything else even half-way decent.
Game feels generic as fuck, portraits are nice, but the actual game is so bland, no weight on the characters, nothing like the visceral kills on Chivarly, it's like hitting bags of air with magic farts.
No soul, no charming characters, no memorable levels, Chivalry got away with that because it was actually fun, but you can't just make random characters and generic combat and expect it to work, at least you would need to snitch some copyrighted IP to ensure fans buy it because they're fans if you're going to publish turds like this.
